Looking for an apartment is time consuming and exhausting.
The most common moving tips involve your actual apartment. Do you need your complex to take pets? Are you looking for a pool and a gym? Is "location, location, location" most important? You may need to look at ten to twenty complexes until you find the right one for you. When you finally find the complex that fits all your needs, they are going to want some information from you. The two most commonly asked for pieces of information are a paycheck stub and a credit report.

The rental manager is going to ask for a paycheck stub. Complexes want you to keep rent at 25%-30% of your pre-tax income. If the rent is more than this, you may not qualify. If this is the case you could consider a smaller, cheaper apartment or a reliable roommate.
Once again, a good credit score comes into play.
The next piece of information they will run is your credit report. This could be your most important moving tip of all. Most managers are looking for credit scores of at least 590 if not higher. Do you know your credit score? You might want to run a credit report that includes all three reporting bureaus and your credit score. You don’t want any surprises in the rental office. When you receive your report check your score and any negative marks.
Credit Report Repair
If your score is low or you have a few negative marks, you might want to work on removing any that might seem suspect before going to complex you are interested in. Apartments want reliable tenants and they use your credit history as a way of determining your reliability. Know what type of story your credit report is telling about you.
